Tailored Resume Assistant: Free AI tool for Australian job seekers

A free AI tool that rewrites your existing resume to match a specific job description. Built for Australian job seekers who are tired of submitting the same generic CV to every role and getting silence back. Paste your resume, paste the job ad, and get a tailored version you can send within minutes.

No sign-up, no email collection, no fee. The tool runs in your browser and the content you paste is processed only to generate your tailored output.

How the Tailored Resume Assistant works

The tool reads two things from you: your current resume and the job description you want to apply for. It then analyses the language of the job ad, picks out the skills and keywords the recruiter is scanning for, and rewrites your resume to surface those skills naturally. The output keeps your real experience intact, just framed to match the role.

  • Paste your existing resume into the first box. Plain text is fine.
  • Paste the job description into the second box. The full ad works best.
  • Click generate. The tool produces a rewritten resume tuned to that specific role.
  • Copy the output into a Word doc, Google Doc or PDF and submit.

The whole thing takes around 30 seconds per application.

Why I built this

Most Australian recruiters use applicant tracking systems that scan resumes for keywords before a human ever sees them. A generic resume that worked five years ago will quietly fail this filter and you will not know why. Tailoring your resume for every role gives you a much better shot at getting through, but doing it by hand for 20 applications a week is exhausting.

I built this tool because friends and clients kept asking me how to rewrite their resumes. The AI does the grunt work and you keep the final say on every line.

Tips for getting the best result

  • Paste the full job description, not just the title. Responsibilities and “about you” sections are where the keywords live.
  • Keep your input resume up to date. The tool can rewrite tone but it cannot invent experience you do not have.
  • Always read the output before you submit. Make sure every claim matches your real history.
  • For senior roles, expect to do a small edit pass after the tool. It is a strong first draft, not a final document.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no card, no email. If that changes in future I will say so on this page.

Does it store my resume?

No. The content you paste is processed to generate the output and is not stored on this site. For details on third-party AI providers used, see the Privacy Policy.

Will it work for non-Australian job ads?

Yes, the tool works for any English-language job description. It is tuned for Australian phrasing and spelling but will handle US, UK or international roles without trouble.

Can I use it for cover letters too?

Not yet. A cover letter helper is on the roadmap. Drop me a note via the contact page if that would be useful for you and I will prioritise it.

I am a recruiter or career coach. Can I use this with clients?

Yes, no restrictions on personal or coaching use. If you want a white-labelled version or want it embedded in your own platform, get in touch.
